Do we NEED vitamin supplements?

Do I NEED to eat vitamin supplements? The short answer is no but in a way how you don't NEED to eat kale. You won't die if you don't take them but it will make you healthier. 

Let's be honest. Are you eating that healthy? 

I'm not trying to food shame you. It's just eating a balanced diet is hard! Not a lot of people can do it. Some people don't have the time to do it. In this busy modern-day life, sometimes we barely have the time to eat anything. This is why vitamin supplements can help you. If you eat a well-balanced diet then, no, you don't need to take vitamin supplements. But if you don't, it's probably a good idea to take vitamin supplements to complement your diet. Some vitamins are essential if you have or live under certain conditions. For example, if you are pregnant, vitamin supplements are essential. For some people that live in an area with not much sun exposure, vitamin supplements can help them make up for the vitamins that should have been provided by the sun. 

So what are some vitamins good for? 

Vitamin A: helps with your eyes and skin infections.

Good source of Vitamin A is carrots, broccoli, kale, spinach, egg, and more. 

Vitamin B: helps your body metabolize carbs and protein.

Good source of vitamin B is pork, sunflower seeds, brown rice, asparagus, kale, cauliflowers, and more. 

Vitamin C: helps your body to produce collagen, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. It also helps with your bones. Not to mention it helps you from getting scurvy. 

A good source of vitamin C is fruits like lemon and orange. Kakadu plum is a great source of vitamin C. 

Vitamin D: it is essential for a healthy immune system and for regulating insulin. Like vitamin C, it also maintains bone health. 

A good source of vitamin D is the ultraviolet B light, which you can get from having a nice day out under the sun. It can also be found in fatty fish like salmon, eggs, mushrooms, and more.
